Heidi Kline

Heidi Kline completed her Master’s in Environmental Policy at Lehigh University, where she worked with the Lab as a graduate researcher. She led a national study on ADU policy and zoning, including a survey of more than 300 small cities and in-depth interviews with nine community planners across the country. Heidi also led a cohort of 10 junior research assistants in Summer 2024 to produce a first-of-its-kind survey of Alley Houses and second units in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which is directly informing policy decisions at the local level.

Heidi rejoined the Lab after graduation and is now converting her research into an ADU report in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She is also leading a downtown development study in Pottstown for the Switchpoint Foundation. Across the Lab’s projects, Heidi brings strong policy analysis and mapping expertise to support initiatives such as Faith and Home and the Co-Lab Booklet series.
