Allison Bronson

Allison Bronson participated in Lab courses during her junior and senior years as an architecture student. She worked on the design and redevelopment of two abandoned townhouses in Bethlehem owned by a faith-based organization. Allison helped develop schematic designs to share with community partners, including a local development non-profit and state housing funder, that transform the properties into six affordable housing units.

During her senior year, she served as a researcher on the Disability and Urban Living project led by three affiliate Lab faculty members. In this role, she supported community mapping workshops, translated workshop findings into clear data visualizations and diagrams, and contributed to the development of a practical toolkit for disabled residents in Bethlehem. Following her graduation in 2025, she became the first Small Cities Gap Year Fellow. She was placed on a “test fit” project in Allentown. She is currently designing a pattern book to communicate the city’s new zoning code, support implementation, and recommend post-adoption amendments. She also supports the downtown redevelopment study in partnership with the Switchpoint Foundation in Pottstown, PA.
