Assistant Professor, Psychology
Jiin Jung is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Lehigh University, where her research sits at the intersection of social psychology and computational social science. Her work examines how group dynamics, minority influence, and diverse perspectives shape social change, social cohesion, and collective decision-making. She uses a combination of experiments, surveys, network analysis, and computational modeling to study these questions and their implications for real-world social challenges.
Jung is also a faculty lead of Designing Inclusive Cities, a community-engaged research project through the Small Cities Lab that examines how the built environment shapes the health, social connections, and wellbeing of disabled residents. Her expertise in social psychology and computational social science has helped inform the project’s analysis of social networks and the relationships between people, places, and access across Bethlehem.
